Spoiler for 'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 17 'One Year Later'

The latest episode of 'A Million Little Things' brought Ron Livingston's Jon Dixon back. A year since the group lost their closest friend to suicide, they haven't quite been able to move on. His children might never get over his demise, at the same time Gary Mendez (James Roday) and Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) still have nightmares about losing him. Even though he has come a long way, Rome Howard (Romany Malco) and the group will never be able to replace him.

Meanwhile, fans were very excited to see Jon back on screen with an emotional episode. "Why didn’t tonight’s episode of “A Million Little Things” come with a warning that viewers will need a box of tissues to view? Extreme tear-jerker but of so good," tweeted a fan. " 'A Million Little Things hits a lot different now. Had me crying way too much tonight," tweeted another fan.

"I want more John’s stories," said a fan. "Did anybody watch "A Million Little Things" tonight? It said so much in one short hour," tweeted one. "Only 10 minutes into 'A Million Little Things' and I can already feel the tears coming," said a fan.

"I actually liked this episode. They all can move on: Sophie forgave Eddie, Jon "forgave" Delilah, Rome is on solid ground with his father..Katherine finally gets the respect and love from the group (a lot of fan service here). And we get a new mystery - what happened at the cabin where Eddie was too drunk to remember. Best line of the episode: Gary saying Katherine has had too many surprises already. I also fear this doubles as foreboding regarding what Eddie did at the cabin," wrote another.

At the same time, fans cannot stop feeling that Gary's character is getting increasingly whingey. "Is anyone getting sick of Gary bitching about everything constantly always all the time??" commented one. "Yes. It’s getting old fast," concurred another.

Even though the show would like to enforce that the characters are doing better than they were last year, when Jon died, things actually aren't really doing well, especially Gary who is at this point having the worst end of the stick. Which is why many viewers think that if anything, the show really needs a new twist.

'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 10/ 9c on ABC.
