What is the plot of 'A Gentleman in Moscow'?
In 1922, the aristocrat Count Alexander Rostov (Ewan McGregor), finds himself facing a new reality. After the Russian Revolution, a Bolshevik tribunal sentences him to house arrest in the luxurious Hotel Metropol, just across from the Kremlin.
From a life of luxury to confinement in an attic room, Rostov is set on a path to rediscover his purpose amidst a world in turmoil outside.
Despite his limited freedom, Rostov's new circumstances open the door to profound emotional growth. Within the hotel's confines, he forges a new existence, learning the deep values of friendship, family, and love.
He forms unexpected bonds, notably with a young girl named Nina (Alexa Goodall), whose father, a dedicated Communist, often leaves her behind for his duties.
He also encounters the film actress Anna Urbanova (Mary Ann Winstead), adding to his circle of new and unlikely friends.
