'90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way': Sumit's parents say Jenny should have treated him 'like her son', not boyfriend
Jenny Slatten, 61, and Sumit Singh, 32 have been in a relationship for more than five years and they are ready to take the next step in their life. In the previous season, Sumit had revealed that he was married but added that he was not happy in his relationship. Explaining the situation, Sumit revealed that he was forced into an arranged marriage and things were not great between him and his wife.
While he has filed for divorce, he is yet to receive a blessing from his parents. After a lot of thinking, Sumit decided it was time to meet his parents and try to make them understand how much he loved Jenny. Meanwhile, his parents had a side of their own. Appearing on the show for the first time, Anil and Sahna Singh did not hold back in telling what they thought about Jenny.
Anil revealed that Sumit introduced Jenny as his Facebook friend. He added that Sumit said that Jenny had come to India and wanted to stay in the house for a couple of weeks in the hope of seeing India. Anil made it clear that he had no problem with Jenny up until they found out that she was his girlfriend.
Sumit's mother, Sahna had the same response. She revealed that Jenny and she had a nice time together. Sahna admitted that she loved Jenny but changed her mind after finding out about their relationship. "Jenny should have treated Sumit like her son," said Sahna in reference to the age gap the two have.
While Anil wants to make sure his son is happy, he does not want it to be with a woman who is double the age. Anil stated that he had dreams of meeting his grandchildren but claimed they have been crushed ever since Sumit started dating Jenny.
Meanwhile, Sahna revealed that ever since Sumit left to be with Jenny, she has not been able to sleep as she misses him. Stating that it has been hard for her to think of a life without him, Sahna admitted that she is having difficulty accepting reality. While the two expressed their disappointment over the relationship, Sumit hinted that he wants to try fixing everything.
