'90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way:' Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee suffer tragic miscarriage, say they are heartbroken but focused on healing
Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee took to Instagram to share the devastating news of their loss and noted that it had been a week since they found out the news.
Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee did not reveal the news of their pregnancy until a screenshot of a post shared by the '90 Day Fiancé' star was shared online. However, the two have now come forward and revealed that they had suffered a miscarriage last Monday. Sharing a picture of the ultrasound, which was taken on September 17, Deavan thanked the fans for their love and support before adding that they had sad news to share. The reality star noted that she and Jihoon had suffered a miscarriage and decided to wait to share the news in order to give themselves time to heal.
"I haven’t addressed this head-on yet. I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts, we have to announce the sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby," she wrote.
She further added, "We are heart broken and focusing on healing. I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. But we needed this time to heal as a family." Deavan noted that her thoughts went out to everyone who had gone through the same situation and advised them to stay hopeful throughout the journey.
"A lot of people go through this, and we feel for so many people and wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing," she said. Deavan further noted that Jihoon and her were doing better than before and were trying to focus on the positive through it all.
"We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time," she said. Her fellow '90 Day Fiancé' cast members from the franchise were quick to come out in their support. Paul Jason Staehle, who was also on '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way' noted, "Me and @staehlekarine both understand your pain we endured it twice its a nightmare. Reach out to @staehlekarine any time your in our thoughts and prayers. I think Karine would love to talk to you she is still healing."
Meanwhile, Karine added, "I’m so sorry for your loss, Deavan. 💔 Thank you for being open about this—too many women suffer alone and that should never be the case. Sending love and prayers to you and your family."
