'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After': Will Kalani divorce Asuelu after his family disrespected her?
Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa's relationship has always been doubted by the viewers. Despite being parents to two beautiful children, the pair has not been able to come on the same page. Kalani and Asuelu have hinted time and again that their way of living is completely different.
While Kalani wants to stay at home and take care of the children, Asuelu wants to go back and spend more time with his family. With the two having different opinions on how things should work, disagreements soon became a big part of their relationship.
Throughout the season, viewers got to see how the pair had their ups and downs. Unfortunately, it was more downs than ups. Right from being unavailable for their child's birthday to making the decision of taking a bus and walking away, Asuelu and Kalani have hinted that their marriage is in trouble.
However, things took a turn for worse when Asuelu's family got involved. Asuelu's mother and sister had been vocal about wanting money. Unfortunately, he did not have enough to give it to them. Coming from a culture that requires the children to provide for the family, Asuelu seemed disappointed that he won't be able to fulfill their wishes.
Knowing that he had a family of four to take care of, Asuelu decided to speak up and let his family know that he was not in a position to give money, yet. However, his family did not seem to care. His mother made it clear that it is his duty to send money even if that means Asuelu's children will have no money.
His family insisted that Kalani's family would be able to help them out and he should not worry about money. Hearing this, Kalani decided to step in and confront them. Unfortunately, she was accused of getting pregnant intentionally to marry Asuelu. Things reached a point where Asuelu's sister was ready to fight Kalani.
Even though Kalani decided to walk away, she made it clear that she was not happy with how things went. Despite hearing what had happened, Asuelu decided to side with his family and this made Kalani wonder if he would ever be there to support her. Seeing certain signs repeating, Kalani wondered if it was time to stand up for herself and act on what had been happening.
While speaking to her mother, Kalani got the advice of either working on it or "be done with it". Will Kalani listen to her mother and file for a divorce?
