'90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days' saw new couples coming in and trying their luck at a successful relationship as they meet the love of their lives who live on the other side of the world. Among the couples who appeared on the show, one person who became the center of attention for all the wrong reasons was Geoffrey Paschel.

Paschel made headlines when his past came to light ahead of the show's premiere. There were various allegations leveled against him by his ex-girlfriend and his ex-wife and these made people believe that he was a person who should not be entertained in the show.

On the show, Paschel is seen with his girlfriend, Varya who stays in Russia. The reality star has mentioned his criminal past in passing on the show as well. In one of the episodes, talking to the camera, he revealed that there were certain things about himself that he hadn't told Varya about and one of them happened to be his criminal past.

Paschel mentioned that while growing up he used to deal with drugs to support himself as his family did not have enough money. He further revealed that he was arrested and had been jailed for 30 months. However, this was not the only allegation that he had. Prior to the show's airing, his ex-wife accused him of reselling opiates while the two engaged in a bitter child custody battle.

Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend accused him of choking and hitting her. Ever since these allegations came to light, people were not to keen on seeing him on the show and insisted that TLC  remove him from the upcoming episodes.

While TLC has not commented on this yet, Paschel hinted that he knows what he has done is in the past and he wants to move on. Even though he did not address the online petition, he seemingly made a comment about it as he posted a picture of himself standing at the end of the tunnel.

"Well, guys, it is MY past. It is MY life. It is MY choice. If we were all the same: thought the same, looked the same, or acted the same, how lame would that be? My closed-up life was the only way I knew to live. I hid so much about myself—whether it be my age, my history, or even my relationships. What crazier, whacked up way could I have done it any better than blasting out there? With the path I chose, it cannot EVER be reversed. Everything about me is out there for the world to see, whether it is true or fantasy. I can never go back, and honestly, I would not have it any different," he wrote.

Paschel hinted that he is in a better place in his life and wants to look forward to the future.  He wrote, "I have realized who my "people" are and, opposingly, who only want to hold me down and set me back. Luckily, I NOW have a strong support system via mostly complete strangers who have lifted me up SO high and have shared their love. Here is to finding MY light and a new beginning at the other end of the tunnel! When things no longer work, find YOUR tunnel! See you tonight as I start my new quest to the other side of the world…I love you guys-always do YOU!"

Even though  Paschel made it clear that he does not want to be judged based on his past the big question is if the viewers are ready to give him a chance?

''90 Day Fiancé': Before The 90 Days' airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
