In an interview with 'Nightline' Dolly said that she, Jane and Lily have been interested in doing a reboot of '9 to 5'. “We’re trying to get the script and all that. Everybody is very interested and we’ve all agreed that we’d love to do it if it’s right,” she said.
20th Century Fox is already working on their reboot series. The production house is said to be taking on the narrative of the 1980 film for a more modern audience. Apparently, 20th Century Fox had presented the idea to Dolly and she immediately said yes.
Deadline reported that Rashida Jones is being roped in by 20th Century Fox to work on the script.
