With the ongoing summer and the Johnston children having their offs, it is a struggle for Amber and Trent Johnston to think of something that would help keep them entertained. To make things worse, the heat outside makes it impossible for the family to opt for something to do outside.

After careful consideration, Amber suggested that they should go to a pottery class. She shared that Elizabeth loves artistic things and would enjoy it the most. As for the rest of the family, they seemed to try their best to get into the groove of getting their pottery making started.

The family tried to understand the techniques needed to make the perfect item. While looking at how it is done, Amber thought that it would be an easy task. However, she was proved wrong once she started working on it. Of all the people, Anna was the one who struggled the most.

She confessed that she did not like the feeling of having clay on her hand and how sticky it got. She even struggled to make the perfect shape and tried countless times to make sure that she got the shape she wanted.

Unfortunately, it did not turn out the way others were hoping. Looking at what Anna was making, Emma was quick to comment on how it looked like a wiener.

Emma made fun of how her product was turning out to be. Meanwhile, Anna tried her best to make the best she could. However, it was Alex who emerged the winner as everyone was surprised how well he had managed to make a bowl.

The rest of the family also tried their best and once they were done, everyone felt happy about having completed the task and enjoying some family time together. While one would think it was a unique experience as a family, this was not new for the Johnstons.

The Johnstons have always tried to take on various activities to ensure that they work together as a family. Previously, they all enjoyed some time together as they tried on mud face packs. There is no doubt that the family always has some fun things to do and we think we all can learn a thing or two from them.

'7 Little Johnstons' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
