Jonah Johnston has always struggled to stay focused and this time, it has affected his possibility of continuing college. In the latest episode (April 7) of '7 Little Johnstons', Jonah decided to open up to her mother, Amber Johnston and revealed that he had failed in math and was asked by the college to leave.

Amber was left surprised and questioned if he was told that his grades would affect his chances of continuing college. While he agreed, Trent Johnston decided to weigh in on the conversation and assured him that he won't be commenting on his academics as he too struggled with it while growing up.

However, he told Jonah that things would not change for him unless he took responsibility for his actions and controlled his actions and thoughts. While the pair expected him to understand, they did not anticipate him pointing out how his sister, Anna Johnston, was given an unlimited chance to amend her mistakes.

Jonah tried explaining how Anna was not treated in the same as he does and pointed out an incident that involved him being punished more than Anna. It was the time when Trent refused to buy a car for Anna and asked Jonah to drive her back and forth. While they saw it as a punishment for Anna, Jonah revealed that he felt it was a punishment for him as he already had a lot on his plate.

Trent informed Jonah that they worked with Anna but it was wrong of him to use her as a scapegoat. While the conversation ended with Trent advising Jonah to work on himself, the couple admitted that the animosity between the siblings would have led to Jonah having so much anger inside him.

Once Jonah left, Amber and Trent sat down together and started talking. Amber confessed that the animosity was slowly changing Jonah as he felt he had too much anger and emotions against Anna. She revealed that there have been times when he has tried to take a fall for her and these actions have left him in a bitter place.

However, Trent felt that Jonah would be able to attain success once he controlled his thoughts and ultimately, his actions. The pair agreed that Jonah had to decide what he wanted to do in life and how he would be going forward but will Jonah make the right decision?

'7 Little Johnstons' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
