The tragic death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna is still a piece of news the sporting world is yet to come to terms with. Bryant had a rich tribute paid by Snoop Dogg during the 2020 ESPYS and that left fans on Twitter teary-eyed as they remembered the Lakers shooting guard. You can watch the tribute below:

"Some days I forget Kobe is really gone. A life and legacy that lives on so strong. There will never be another like him. #KobeBryant #ESPYS #ESPYS2020," a fan wrote. "God please trade us Kobe back for 6ix9ine or something please," another wrote. "I will never forget where I was when I heard the news Kobe died," a fan tweeted. "Great tribute snoop! #24" a fan opined. "So! Beautiful Great Job! Snoop," said another. "Tremendous tribute," a fan seconded.

"You beat the odds by a mile/All grit no smile/A new golden child/Let’s do it mamba style,” Snoop Dogg could be heard rapping while footage of Bryant dunking and rocking the court was seen on the screen. The footage also showed some of his greatest moments and a huge number of murals in LA by artists.

According to Deadline, Bryant received countless ESPYS during his career. Earlier this month, the star was honored as the recipient of the 72nd Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award, recognizing his legacy of philanthropy, community building, and inspiration that extended beyond the sport.

"Damn I miss you so much @kobebryant," a fan wrote. "nothing like a good Sunday night cry," another fan wrote. "I will never forget where I was when I heard the news Kobe died," a fan tweeted. The 18-time NBA All-Star died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26. The group was flying to a girls basketball tournament at Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy where Gianna's team was scheduled to play. She and two teammates were among the nine people killed.

Kobe and his daughter are survived by his wife Vanessa Bryant and their three kids 17-year-old Natalia, three-year-old Bianka and seven-month-old Capri.
