Amy and Tammy Slaton have been working together to reach their weight loss goal but things have been getting hard for the sisters as differences are slowly starting to set in.

To make things better between them, the sisters decided that it would be best if they sat down together and had a conversation with the help of a third person.

The Slaton sisters decided to meet Dr Stephen who they thought could help them with their problems. Dr Stephen asked the sisters how the two had been doing with their weight loss goal. Amy confessed that it had been hard to work together as their outlook towards the goal was different.

Tammy added that she had to depend on Amy to buy her things as she was not in a position to go out and shop for herself. She further revealed that she would often give Amy a list of things that she wanted.

Dr Stephen asked if Amy bought everything that Tammy used to list. Amy admitted that she did not question Tammy's choices as it was her money and she did not feel she had the right to.

Tammy added that Amy could advise her what she thinks is bad for her but could pay attention to the tone used to make this clear. Hearing this Amy broke down and revealed that she feels she was responsible for Tammy to gain weight.

She recalled that as a child she would often give her food. "I would put the food on her plate," Amy said as she started sobbing. She added that she felt that she might be the enabler for the weight gain.

However, Tammy assured her that it wasn't her fault and that she could not hold on to the past like that. Talking to the camera, Tammy stated that she never blamed Amy for her weight and still doesn't.

Even though Amy was happy to hear this, the sisters knew that they had a long way to go if they wanted to reach their weight loss goal but having this conversation, the Slaton sisters were ready to work harder.

'1000-lb Sisters' airs on Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
