LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As 'The Boys' Season 4 gears up for its premiere on June 13, 2024, fans are eager to see what's next for the show. With Season 3 leaving off with Homelander gaining more public support, the group faces tough times ahead.

The fate of Karl Urban's character, Billy Butcher, is uncertain. His health has been compromised by the abuse of Temp V in Season 3, sparking speculation about his future in Season 4, especially when compared to his comic book storyline.

Will Butcher's journey mirror the comics, or will the show take a different turn? Fans eagerly await answers as the premiere date draws near.

Fans are also questioning if this will be the last appearance of Karl Urban's character, Billy Butcher, in 'The Boys' Season 4 and we're here to talk about just that.

Will Billy Butcher meet his end in 'The Boys' Season 4?

Karl Urban's portrayal of Billy Butcher has made him a standout character in 'The Boys' series. Urban's performance has cemented Butcher as one of the most beloved fictional figures today.

Despite Butcher's significant role throughout the series, Season 4 may mark the end of his journey as the leader of The Boys.

A tweet from 'The Boys' official Twitter handle (@TheBoysTV) that was uploaded on Dec 5 serves as a reminder that Butcher's time may be limited, with only six months left for him to live.

The tweet caption hinted at Butcher's death, as it read, "Butcher has six months to live, and still knows about that virus being cooked at Godolkin."

Billy Butcher gained strength to fight against the supes with V24. But his repeated use of Temp V in Season 3 drastically shortened his life. By the season finale, it's revealed he only has six months left.

As Season 4 unfolds after the Season 3 finale, Butcher's time left on Earth won't increase. While it's possible he may meet a tragic end in 'The Boys' Season 4, the creators might find a way to keep him alive.

Karl Urban's portrayal of Billy Butcher is a major draw for fans of the series on Amazon Prime Video anyway, so it would be hard to watch another season without him, right?

Did Billy Butcher die in 'The Boys' comic book?

In 'The Boys' series, the line between being an antihero and a villain is blurred, with Billy Butcher walking it the hardest. His actions as the leader of the titular group are steering him toward the path of becoming a villain.

The consequences of his Temp V abuse will be a central focus in 'The Boys' Season 4 and could lead to his demise. However, if he does die due to this, it will be a departure from the comic books.

In 'The Boys' issue 71, Butcher meets his end after betraying his team. Surprisingly, it's Hughie who ends up killing him, driven by Butcher's deception about his parents' death.

Will Butcher meet a similar fate in the TV show? Fans shouldn't expect it, as the TV adaptation deviates significantly from the original comic book.
