Does Red Bull Contain Bull Sperm?
We have all reached out to that blue and red bottle of liquid energy in our times of need - a long night, a sleepy exam or a jolt to get our mundane jobs done. The question is does the drink get too literal. A bizarre claim started doing the rounds almost ten years ago, based on the claims of Longhorn Cattle Company that had tested the product and found traces of bull sperm in it! Even today, a lot of people glance suspiciously at the drink. The ingredient Taurine found in the drink was the supposed culprit. Taur in Greek means Bull and ine means something obtained from the preceding word. Taurine is actually an amino acid, naturally found in breast milk, but the one used in Red Bull is synthetically made in a cozy little laboratory. It fuelled people's fantasies much more than the drink could ever do. Understandably, the company went Red with anger at these false claims and issued an official statement. So, go ahead and get your wings. The rumour was a load of B.S!
